At least 11 Bolotnaya rally participants fled Russia in the wake of the arrests of other protesters on “mass rioting” charges. Nine are seeking asylum elsewhere, Leonid Razvozzhaev was forcibly returned to Russia, and Alexandr Dolmatov committed suicide in the Netherlands while awaiting an asylum hearing.

On January 10, 2014, Anastasya Rybachenko was amnestied but remains abroad.
