A gravel quarry above Akhshtyr, a village located in the Caucasus Mountains just off the road to Krasnaya Polyana, Sochi. Huge dump trucks used in construction drive continuously, 24 hours a day, seven days a week through the village to access this quarry, as well as an additional quarry and a construction waste dump and return to Sochi from those locations. The gravel from the quarries is used for construction of Olympic infrastructure as well as other construction.
