Victor Kalinin, and Galina Kalinina, residents of Akhshtyr, a village located in the Caucasus Mountains between Adler and Krasnaya Polyana, Sochi. The heavy truck traffic along the road running directly above their property and hillside home has caused the land to slide, causing visible cracks in the exterior and interior of their house, where Galina was raised and has lived for 52 years. In order to facilitate truck access to the quarries and dump, in 2008 the authorities paved the road running through the village, destroying residents' main drinking water wells. Victor and Galina and other residents have been without a safe, regular drinking water supply for over four years. Water is currently delivered at most once a week by truck.
